Marisa Cherry

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, California and Florida

I work at the intersection of psychotherapy and physiological measurement. One idea runs through everything here: give people, and the clinicians who sit with them, an honest measurement to look at together.

The app

Return

A quiet self-knowledge tool for iPhone and the web. You say how you feel before you see any number, and over ten weeks you find out how well you already read yourself. A general wellness product, not medical care.

The practice

The Autonomic Regulation Protocol

A structured 14 session program built around HRV biofeedback, delivered in my private practice to clients in California and Florida. Sessions pair resonance frequency breathing with a chest strap measurement, so there is an objective reading to look at together, session after session, instead of self-report alone. The protocol is preregistered for a pilot study on the Open Science Framework. Preliminary, and said plainly: the pilot has no outcome data yet.

The writing

Books and essays

I write for clinicians and for people doing the work themselves. My clinician workbook is available on Amazon.
